Celebrating a decade of performances, Opera in the Outback 2010 will once again amaze and entertain audiences from North Queensland and beyond with one of the region’s most unique musical events.
As the sun slowly makes its way below the distant horizon of the tropical savannah bushland, the stage is set for some of Australia’s most accomplished operatic performers to shine. 3 nights of performances offering individual themes have been entertaining visitors to Undara Experience since 2001 with a large numbers of the audience enjoying Opera in the Outback multiple times.
Get dressed up in your tux and ball gowns or keep it casual while being enchanted by their beautiful voices within a magnificent setting which is purely Australian.

Opera Bites
Opera Bites is a boutique opera company from New South Wales. Comprising five core members with a wealth of professional performance experience, performances range from fully costumed miniature operas through to operatic concert favourites and lighter repertoire .
An Opera Bites performance caters to every taste. The format of condensed operas devised by the company offers an engaging performance which is both accessible to the newcomer yet fresh and alive for the seasoned opera-goer.

Following on from the success of the 2009 inaugral play production, Undara Experience will be announcing this year’s artists & performance details very soon.
Friday Night – 5.45pm 8th October 2010
Peter Axford, the first ever artist to perform at Opera in the Outback, returns with Lyrical Soprano Julia Brant accompanied by pianist Jo-anne Kemp signifing the start of the opera program for 2010. They will be performing a range of popular Musical Theatre songs and Opera classics.
The second half of the evening will be Madame Butterfly performed by Opera Bites.
Saturday Night 5.45pm 9th October 2010
Opera Bites will perform a 90 minute version of Johann Strauss’ comic delight Die Fledermaus – join the festivities by dressing for a masked ball.
